Infoeaze now a member of PBSA - APAC Council.
This month I am pleased to share that Infoeaze is now an affiliate member of Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) - APAC Council. This renews our commitment to support creating a single, decentralized Self-sovereign model for users using our Consent mobile and desktop wallet. Consent wallet enables individuals to create, manage and control access to their own identity, including the associated data and documentation around Claims and Credentials.
We at Infoeaze believe the Self-sovereign model is key to removing challenges around data collection, validation and customer experience. It gives the control back to individuals via a Consent by Design approach to manage users Claims and Credentials data.
About PBSA Founded as a non-profit trade association in 2003, the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) was established to represent the interest of companies offering employment and tenant background screening services. Just as importantly, however, the initial members wanted to establish and promote a high level of ethics and performance standards for the screening industry. The Association currently represents over 880 member companies engaged in employment and tenant background screening across the United States. Member companies range from Fortune 100 companies to small local businesses, conducting millions of employment related and tenant background checks each year as part of the hiring and leasing process. PBSA Member companies are defined as “consumer reporting agencies” pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and are regulated by both the FTC and CFPB.
APAC Council The APAC Council began forming in 2009 and after nearly two years of hard work it was officially ratified in September 2010. The APAC Council follows the same guiding principles as PBSA:
Promote ethical business practices.
Promote compliance with appropriate legislation within the region.
Foster awareness of issues related to consumer protection and privacy rights within the background screening industry.
